(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We have had chickens for about 3 years now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 11 hens and 1 roo. Also have 2 female guineas, and 1 male. Also, pair of Bantam BB Red Gamebirds (Riviera just started laying!!) these are my son's 4-H birds. 18 Red Stars (3 weeks) and will be getting more 1-3 day/s old chicks of various breeds tomorrow:>)
(3) What breeds do you have? Various....Americaunas, Barred Rock, White Rock, Buff Orp, some unidentified birds (traded for them...they were supposed to be Silver Laced Wyandottes.....but they are not :-( , also some mutt chickens from cross-breeding.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? From a friend who started with chickens the same time I did. Have always lurked here, but now deciding it's time to post.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I love to scrapbook and paper craft, photography, gardening, mushroom hunting....are there really any other hobbies?? Lol!!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am Momm2Three, just as my username suggests. We have 2 large, outside dogs (1 choc lab, and 1 great dane/lab mix), a cockatiel, and 2 cats. I am a Physical Therapist Assistant, along with Mother, cook, chauffer, friend, sister, Aunt, among many other things!!
I am excited to be here and have really enjoyed learning from many posts here on the site. Thanks for having me!!
