Planning on starting my first chicken flock this spring and busy doing research to choose which breeds to start with. I like too many of them and every day i find a new interesting breed. I just saw a picture of bluebells. I t looks like they are all in the UK. Does anyone know of any that are available in the US?

I have no idea what a Bluebell is, but have you checked out Buckeyes? Can you guess where they were developed?

Thank you...Yes, I found Buckeyes a couple of days ago! I have a lot of interest in them and am planning to have some of those also. Do you have any experince with them?

Hello and welcome! I'm also from Ohio....NE Ohio. I haven't heard of bluebells before. I keep a nice variety, Golden Laced Wyandottes, Black Copper Marans, Wheaten Marans, Buff Orpingtons, one RIR, a Barred Rock, a few Cream Brabanters, and quite a few Modern Game Bantams.

Variety is the spice of life, I think!

Good luck with your new hobby and enjoy!
