I'm not as new to chickens, or ducks, as I once was, but I still have plenty to learn. I have a little flock of 13. We free range all over a big pile of rocks affectionately referred to as "the Hill," but go into a very secure coop and pen for roosting in safety. I have one roo, a bantam Cochin named Harry. Then there's the girls, in pecking order, we have Thelma, Fannie, Opal, Edna, Callie, Lillie Maude, Clara Victoria, Half Chick, Dean, and Rita. Then there's the ducks, Lou and Myra Quackmire, who consider themselves members of nobody's pecking order.
