Hello All!

I am new to all of this, chicken farming that is! I haven't actually bought my chickens yet but we are in the process of building a coop and securing the run. We are starting small, with just 4 hens but from what I have read on here, we could be in for a big surprise once we get addicted! I have learned alot from these pages in the last few weeks while in the planning stages. Thank you to everyone!

I too started with a small flock...I now have 20 hens and eight babies....I get about an average 10 eggs a day....so far....But I enjoy them.....Have a great weekend !

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I know that at the start I said that I was starting with 4 but I just ordered 6! OH NO! It's starting already...I may need to modify my coop slightly and I haven't even started it yet!!!
