hey this is great - we are spread out a bit - but a gathering a couple times a year might be fun - exchange some birds to keep from inbreeding, tools trade, and share tips and tricks.
My house is right off I-5 near Lane Community College.
Couple of acres and a 100 year old farm house - I call myself a "pretend farmer" and I work at the Church of the Dirt...
but actually I work at the University and as an education consultant for the cash...whenever I want to quit I try to compute how many dozen eggs it would take to meet my monthly...wow! then I understand why the industrial egg production was invented.
I stick with my 8-10 egg subscribers..though I have 25 chicks coming in a few weeks - I got 10 Moran - those lovely dark chocolate brown eggs - going for the full rainbow dozen.
