Hi, We're in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, and we are delighting in our first chicken flock.
We planned and thought it out and then decided on getting just 5-6 adolescent or adult chickens. However, instead we jumped headlong into this and came home from the feed/farm store chick bonanza with 3 RIR, one white leghorn, 2 light brahmas, 2 speckled sussex, 7 EE (one I think might be a genuine Ameracauna?), 3 GLW, and 2 barred rocks!
Aside from the chickens, we have 3 horses, 2 donkeys, 6 goats, 2 dogs and 3 cats. It pretty much leaves us with lots and lots of free time
