(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am brand new to chickens; I brought my first group of chicks home about a month ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
(Right now) I have 5
(3) What breeds do you have?
They are all Easter Eggers from Tractor Supply
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I like how chickens are a different type of animal that people care for. I have a dog and cat, and was looking to fill in some of my property that I'm on now.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
As from my username, I love playing harp! I also love gardening!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My family consists of my partner (Jon), Boston Terrier pupper (Allie), lazy indoor cat (Ms. Kitty), and now the five Easter Eggers. I work as a Reading Interventionist for grades 1-7 and I love what I do.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC via web searches. I probably started lurking the pages like six months ago when I started to become interested in chickens. I finally decided to join today because I would love to become a part of the community!
