Hello, Everyone! In the morning on September 22, 2011, my husband and I were leaving for work and heard what sounded like a dying bird in our woods. We thought, "Poor bird! Something must have attacked it!" We came home for lunch and then we distinctly heard COCK-A-DOODLE-DO!...Right into our hearts! My husband has lived here for 45 years and no one has ever dropped off a rooster. We named him Brooster and fed him every morning, noon, and night before he went up in a tree to roost. One Saturday morning, he came walking in the door of our house. After some investigation on the Internet (mypetchicken.com) we discovered he is a Golden Sebright Bantam. He is now living in our house with our 11 cats and we all couldn't be happier. He has adopted all of us as his flock. He roosts over our bed at night. He loves listening to polkas and laying on the bed with us on the weekends when we don't have to go to work. We are looking forward to getting to know everyone. Have a great week!
