I am fairly new to raising chickens and ducks. We had some when I was a kid but my parents took care of them.

My niece got 3 chicks and 2 ducklings a month ago. We have a coop enclosed in a 10x20 chicken run.

Two days ago one of the chicks drowned in the duck pool now the ducks are afraid to go back in. I didn’t know there was so much psychology involved. It just got up to 100 degrees here in Phoenix. I hope those ducks get back in the pool soon.

I also have 4 cats and make wire wrapped jewelry.

I do mostly crowns, cuff bracelets, and rings in sterling silver.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens, your jewelry is beautiful. Very inspired. Sadly for me I have very sensitive skin and cannot wear any form of jewelry - not silver, gold, other metals, plastic, even material based.

The only thing I was able to wear many, many years ago, my sister sent me a silver tiny link ankle bracelet with turquoise stone. I guess the only part of me that tolerates jewelry is maybe my ankle bone :idunno

Also never wore it often or for much time during the day. I am always in blue jeans so it wasn't something others could see. Still have it but doesn't fit me anymore.

BTW can't wear a watch either - have to get those on a carabiner(I think it's called) and hang it from a belt loop.Or carry it inside a belt bag.

PS I can draw something with a fingertip(no nails): plain lines or letters on my throat and it will appear in red immediately. Dermatologist said it is NOT uncommon. Maybe other folks just don't mention it.
