Hello from Pittsburg, Texas.....chicken heaven on earth!

My husband and I are new to raising chickens. When my niece told me 'chickens are hospitable', I was a skeptic....now, I am a believer! I thought chickens would be like raising cats (indifferent).....but they are a lot like dogs (loveable and interested in everything you do). Needless to say, I am hooked!

So glad you could join the BYC flock! Yes, chickens sure do make great pets. Their temperaments really are closer to that of a dog, than a cat. I was even able to teach some of my chickens tricks (at one point).
