Hello from Pittsburgh!

Hi everyone, I thought it might be about time to introduce myself properly!

I'm located in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, and have 8 chickens currently. We have 3 Barred Rocks, 1 (supposed to be) Black Maran, 1 Easter Egger, 2 Lavender Orpingtons and 1 mixed breed grey rooster.

I first owned chickens about 15 years ago, and have been lurking on this website for a long time. I've learned alot, and have seen suburban chicken ownership go from stealthy and almost unheard of, to quite common in recent years. Happy to see that!

I work in the veterinary field, and my other hobbies include breeding Lady Gouldian finches, gardening, and building stuff! We have 1 dog, 4 cats and lots of finches in addition to the chickens.

Nice to have a place to learn and share with other chicken people!
