Hi @NFC! I have Indian Runners and Magpies for the ducks; Welsummer and Ameraucana chickens. My flock is small and young (10 ducks, 4 chickens and nobody is laying yet).

Nice! I have a Welsummer in my flock too. Give them time, they'll be laying when they're good and ready

The Welsummer I have is the friendliest one in my flock. The 3 Cream Crested Legbars and the 1 Sapphire I have are not at all friendly...I'd describe those 4 as flighty.

All 4 of my chickens are not super friendly. They aren’t mean; they just prefer to keep their distance. I have been holding one a lot (she has been ill so I have been treating her every day), but she still prefers to be free The others I have been trying to handle a bit at night when they are sleepy to get them used to me picking them up.
