We are currently constructing our first coop and hope to have chickens this spring. The kids are super excited. It will be halfway under their treehouse with the treehouse's posts and floor to be used to make a run.

Beware of trees near a coop, they are great as a jumping off point for raccoons, and birds of prey.

I just saw I never replied. Sorry! We bought ours at a chicken swap at The Urban Chicken.
