Over the past month I've toyed with the idea about having my own backyard flock. Researching coops, breeds, and forums for answers now I feel like I am ready to take the plunge. This forum has been a wealth of knowledge. I feel lucky to be part of a community that is so helpful and experienced.

So now that the yard is cleaned up, next on the list.... the coop and run. Hopefully, not long after that.... the chickens (juveniles of coarse).

Thank you in advance for any tips and leads.

1st tip: Get the chicks first, then you'll have a built in deadline to build the coop & run.
