(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Brand new to chickens and looking forward to getting our first flock at the end of March!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 0!! But soon to be 8!

(3) What breeds do you have? They will be White/Black Polish, Jersey Giant , Oliver Egger, Austra White, Super Blue Egg Layer, Blue Easter Egger
Buff Orphington and Welsummer.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Not sure yet!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, puttering around the yard, sewing, arts and crafts, canning, cooking--- you know those domestic duties. And being Mama to by 4yr old and 2yr old.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Born and raised in the City of Chicago, now in Savannah which is more suburban than anything--- but dream of the farm life and wide open spaces.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? Known about BYC for years but didn't want to join until we pulled the trigger!

Welcome to the BYC. Savannah is a nice place we go through there a couple times a year we go to Tybee island. We have a couple friends that live there. I see with the breeds you are getting you will have some colorful eggs.

Oh definitely warmer than Chicago!! At least right now.. By the end of March we should be warming back up for good!
