Hello from Scotland

Hi I live in Scotland.
Just over a year ago I never imagined I would have chickens. Then Christmas 2017 I received a chicken coop as a totally random present.

However, not being someone to rush into things, I took my time, did some research, found BYC website, lurked on BYC website, built the coop, built a chicken run and then finally got three hens at the end of September 2018.

I have a Sussex - Meghen, Duchess of Sussex. She is top hen.
A Black Copper Maran - Black Betty Bramble Jam. She is Meghen's shadow.
A Scottish Bluebell - Charlotte Gray. She sings to her own tune.

Being totally new to chickens the best and exciting thing about my few months as a chicken keeper is discovering the habits and behaviours of these creatures. I can (and do) watch them for hours.

I would say more but I can hear my ladies squawking. It is time for them to have a run about in the garden.
