Good Day to All from Rancho Cucamonga,
This past October I became the new chicken mom to 3 adorable salmon faverolles. They are my first chickens, and they are the sweetest little girls that I could ever hope for.
It's been a learning experience, but we're all getting along just fine. The girls are happy and healthy, and I don't know why I waited so long to begin raising chickens! What a joy!
I'm excited to be a new member of this group. I've referenced your website for tips, advice, etc over the past few months and look forward to delving deeper into the forums and articles available from this site.

Salmon Favs are the sweetest chickens. (So docile they can be bullied easily by other, bossier breeds of chickens.). I have a little Salmon Fav roo who holds his own, though, amongst many other breeds plus ducks, turkeys and geese.

I never, ever thought I would fall in love with chickens. I especially like the happy sounds they make as they are falling asleep (often in my lap). Have you found yourself carrying on conversations with yours?
