Hey everyone!

After spending hours on this website learning about chickens, I thought I should go ahead and join the community!

I'm completely new to chickens, so I know this forum will be helpful! I plan to build my own coop this January (stupidly excited about that), and buy my chicks shortly afterwards! I live in the city, so I can only have up to 4, no roosters. So I'm starting with 3.

Have you looked at the Coops section? There are some really nice coops and plans there! The Learning Center here is great for beginner advice and we're here to answer any questions you may have. Enjoy your chicken adventure and keep us posted!
 
Yes I have checked out the coop section! There are some really beautiful ones on there, and I love that people post "how to" pics to help you build your own. I've also read most of what's on the learning center. Especially if it's about raising chicks and chickens. It's all great! I was thinking about buying a chicken raising book, but I think most of what I need is right here! Love everyone's willingness to help! My wife and I also are vegetarians, so the chicks we buy will be very happy chickens!
