I live in a rural area of S Carolina and we decided we wanted our own eggs and so adopted some chickens and ducks. We have not stuck with just one breed, we have two polish, two silkies, a few B B Reds, and a foursome of tiny Bantys we have not yet identified
My daughter build the chickens a nice safe house in a chicken yard so the raccoons cannot harm them at night.
