Hello from SouthEast Texas!

So ,my family and I live in Southeast texas about 2 hrs. east of Houston. We have a little farm here and are new to chickens we have 30 assorted Bantams and 4 Sex link standard hens. We also have a herd of Pygmy/nigerian dwarf goats ,2 dogs a great pyrenees and anatolian shepherd. We are new to the farm life but love every minute of it and are always willing and trying to get the most info on our animals so that we have a happy ,healthy little farm.We are a young couple have only been married for 8 years and have three beautiful kiddos 2 boys and a girl all under eight so it has been interesting to mix our kids with our animals or in our case our 'animal kids". We are excited to join a chicken forum and can't wait to chat.Thanks to all for the opportunity!

Nothing beats growing up on a farm...I did- and if I could have- it would have been the way I raised my own daughter.. Glad to hear the family is enjoying the country life, and hope you enjoy the site.
