My name is Donna, mother of 4 wonderful children, Nana to 10 of my grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
I took to chickens when we retired from the monument company 3 years ago. Hoping to fill my days, I knew there was going to be a void there. I love people!
I started out with around 25 chickens, due to opossums, wry neck and a hawk I'm currently down to 16.
I have 1 huge Orpington, several Silkies, Rock Barred and the others are unknown to me.
I also have 8 grown pigeons, 1 baby pigeon and a male and female peacock. 2 cats & 4 dogs!
I can sit all day and just listen to them cackle. Watching their behavior is astounding.
I macrame, ceramics, stained glass, and love being out in my yard.
My husband of 11 years is retired paper mill lab tech and loves photography and working on small engines. My son is 32 special needs and is currently working towards getting his first ever 4wheeler fixed so that he may ride it without ever breaking down.
I now have custody of my granddaughter whom will turn 16 the 29th of this month. Of which she has CP, Hydrochepulus plus 3 types of seizures, However, she's the happiest child you could ever want to meet.
I can't remeber how I found this group and I actually think I have another username but I've been here for a really long time. I've just never introduced myself! So. . . with that beign said...here I am!!
