Hello from St. Louis!

I've been reading the BYC forums for the last few days and had to join! Lots of good information here.

I live in St. Louis County, MO and plan to get my first chicks next month. I'm so excited! I've been re-reading all the chicken books I have, and buying more, and perusing the web (that's how I ended up here). My b/f calls it obsession; I prefer to think of it as research.

Since it's just the two of us, and we don't have a huge amount of space, I'm planning on just 3 hens. Going with Plymouth Rock, since brown eggs make me happy, and they are supposed to be hardy.

Looking forward to learning and sharing here on BYC.

Welcome! And as for your Plymouth Rock, mine is one of the most personal in my flock always coming into the coop, up the ladder to the roosts to be at eye level with me
while I clean the "poop deck", as I call it. She loves to peck my hair and make cackle conversation! Enjoy yours.................bonus, beautiful eggs!
