My husband and I are starting our flock, and just purchased our chickens yesterday. It is something we have wanted to do for years, so it was NOT just a whim! Our two boys are extremely excited and totally in love as well. Our younger son knows his care of these guys will determine if he also gets a sheep (or two) in future!
We are considering putting the word out to take in the abandoned and unwanted ‘post easter’ chickens too but we will see! For now we have 4 pullets, 3 are Wyandoottes, and one is an Asian runner. Unsexed so it will be a surprise! Ha! We are very excited to start building our coop and getting them grown. Here’s a lil preview of one my son had in hand and the other I had. Thanks, looking forward to everything!
