Since the introduction page, when i first signed up, recommended that i introduced myself, i will do so here, with the help of the suggested Q&A template:
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had chickens for 4 years.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 23 Chickens. 18 adults, and five 10 week old chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
Brahma (my favorite), New Hampshire, Orpington, Marans
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Through numerous google searches, this site just kept popping up
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
In a word tinkering. I love to make things. I built my own fully insulated 400 sq.ft workshop, with a 700 sq.ft car port, and a 60 sp.ft. lean to, to do my projects, and have a LOT of tools. Almost none of them bought from new. Buy broken and neglected stuff, and fix it, to suit my needs.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm born in 1973, married for 12 years. One 120 pound dog - a danish breed called a "Broholmer".
moved from Copenhagen, to the Swedish woods 10 years ago, to get away from the stress, and now have a ½ acre, where we try to be pretty self sustaining. A work in constant progress.
We have a simple life, where we try to keep expenses low, which has given us a lot of freedom. We own our house and property, and we are debt free.
My wife is a nurse, and i am a musician.
