Hello everyone. I just recently acquired eight new chicks, four buff orpingtons and four barred rocks. They are now about eight weeks old and not vaccinated for anything. I started reading many of the posts and have been focusing a lot of time on health related issues. Wow...so many thoughts that now I am really confused. A week ago, I got six splash orpingtons. They are separated from the others, but in the same room. I have no idea what to do about vaccines. The older ones go out every day. The place I got the new ones from said that I could bring all of the birds to him and he would vaccinate them for Merecks. Is that something that I should consider now at their age and exposure to the outside and each other? Also I did not use medicated feed as the person that I got the first birds from did not use it with hers. (On a side note, the coop should be ready by the end of the week.)
