Hi y'all. I'm new to chicken's. I decided in June to buy an incubator and hatch some chicks. I got some eggs from a friend who has a flock of Ameraucana and a flock of Light Brahma. I had a great first hatch and I now have...

3 big beautiful Light Brahma roosters
5 gorgeous Light Brahma hens
3 absolutely stunning Ameraucana roosters (all very different color patterns)
2 very beautiful Ameraucana hens (one splash and one reddish brown)

I'm having a blast raising these guys and watching them grow, plus, drum roll please...........
ONE OF MY LIGHT BRAHMA HENS STARTED LAYING LAST WEEK!!!
I didn't really expect it until the weather warmed up. It has been pretty cold here in Texas.
I got so excited about my eggs, I ordered more chicks! This chicken thing may be an addiction!

Greetings and welcome to BYC! So glad you joined us. There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home! Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such.
