Hello everyone! I come from a family of farmers. As a kid growing up, we kept about 70 laying hens and raised between 200-250 meat chickens every years on our small family farm in Missouri.

Now that I’m all grown up, I live in a small town with my own kiddos in north central Texas. We decided to build our own coop using one of the designs here and have 5 hens perusing our back yard when they aren’t in their run. I always look forward to the wisdom I find here.
