New chicken owner here. DH and I ordered 9 day old pullets: 4 Ameracaunas (18 weeks) and 5 Black Australorps (17 weeks). Somehow 1 of Amerucaunas and 3 of the Australorps didn't get the message and we have 4 roos for our 5 hens
.
Trouble in paradise! Separated out the 3 Australorp roos, as the Ameracauna is boss, and things have settled down.
Picked up 3 Buff Orpingtons yesterday, about 5 weeks old, and they are for sure pullets.
We found our first egg yesterday afternoon as we were putting nesting boxes in place
We have a number of questions, but I will do some more looking first.
