My name is Katie and I have been lurking on this site since just before Easter when me and my boyfriend decided that we wanted to begin raising chickens. I myself have raised chickens before, but I have never raised ducks or geese and have had a lot of questions and the threads here always have an answer 
. So I decided to sign up so I may leave comments of my own and help those I can!
I am now the proud owner of 12 Buff Orphingtons (4 just started laying, 2 are about 5 months, and 6 are 3 months), 4 Americaunas (one that is fully white, we bought her thinking she was a Buff and she came out white =P ), 3 Rhode Island Reds, 4 African geese (one is a few months older, we bought more after her male was killed
, and the other three are 3 months), 4 Mallard Ducks (3 months), 6 Silver Laced Wyandottes (1 week old), and a pair of pygmy goats.
Our girls are little handfuls and can be very stubborn XD. We actually have one girl that just went broody on us and will sit there as two others are climbing into the box to lay their eggs! She just sits there and lets them lay and keeps them warm until I go in there and she screams and pecks as I try to take her poor babies.
I hope I can be as much of a help as y'all have been for me! =]
