Hello from the Gulf Coast of Louisiana!

We are new to backyard chickens and are currently finishing the coop and building the run. Our plan is to start small as we live in a subdivision and keep three hens. I’m so excited to also have a section of our backyard for free range. Aside from getting chickens, my husband and I are avid gardeners. My son is 16 and we also have a chihuahua named Vinnie.
