I've been lurking for awhile, researching for my new flock but finally joined today.
We currently have seven peeps, all ranging from about two and half weeks to one and a half week old now. We have two Rhode Island Reds (Queenie, aka "Red", and Ruby), two Black Rocks (Midnight and currently unnamed), a Buff named Yellowie, a Silver Laced Wyandote (I believe, this was a hatchling from my 2nd graders school project) named Lacy, and I believe a Leghorn (she was purchased from a friend to replace our second Buff, may she rest in peace) named Daisy. Building the Peep Palace in the yard currently, but canceled on account of rain today.
bummer. Will post pictures when I'm done.
Our beautiful ladies have been such a joyful addition to the family. My two oldest kiddos (eight and six) joined 4-H Clover Kids this year and plan on using their ladies for fair projects. New experiences for our family everywhere this year! We also have two smaller kiddos, one who will be old enough for Clover Kids next year (she is five) and my youngest (18 months) just loves to sit and watch them.
Anyway, that's a bit on me. I look forward to meeting some of you here!
