I am back into chickens after a lapse of about 15 years - raising a mixed flock for eggs. My granddaughter picked out the chicks and named them all. Not sure if I have their names correct, but no matter. I ended up with two roosters in the mix, and successfully gave one away, now have 10 hens and 1 rooster. Three of the hens started laying a few weeks ago, still waiting on the rest. I look forward to this web site as a resource for chicken related questions.
