Greetings from beautiful Franklin, NC! We are new to chickens and our adventure officially began on Monday with the arrival of our peeps! We have 12 - 6 Easter Eggers, 3 Australorps and 3 Barred Rocks. I appreciate all the info I have gathered from this site over the last four months in researching and preparing for our first laying flock. Our coop is a converted shed on our property and is just about complete and our chicks seem very healthy and happy in the brooder. They are a lot messier than I expected for such small things, but that's okay!
