Hi Everyone!
I just bought my first chickens. I have 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Buff Orpingtons, and one feisty little Buckeye who seems to be the leader of the pack. We also have two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs who want to protect the chickens, 2 cats, and a Rabbit. Quite the happy little farm/zoo
. I live in the South NJ suburbs and can only have hens. I am crossing my fingers that I do in fact have all pullets. We are in the processes of designing/building a run and coop that gives plenty of room for the chickens and also aesthetically pleasing so our neighbors don't freak out. Any suggestion on general chicken keeping, coop/run building, and sexing of Orpingtons, Barred Rocks, and Buckeyes would be much appreciated. Nice to meet all of you!
