(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I bought my first set of chickens in May ‘19
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I currently have 10 - 9 hens and 1 rooster
(3) What breeds do you have? 2 Silkies - one black and one white, 3 Blue Australorps, 2 Cinnamon Queens, Gold Laced Wyandotte, Silver Laced Wyandotte and last but not least, Mottled Cochin Bantam Rooster. I’m looking to add a few more that lay blue eggs.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They are pets that keep me entertained.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Hunting, fishing and anything outdoors
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Married with two adult daughters. We have one grandson. We have several dogs. I’m currently a homemaker and we are enjoying our empty nest.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? A really good friend recommended this group and I’ve been a member since around May of last year.
