Hello from the UK + Questions

Hi everyone, im my constant search for information ive been reading BYC for a while before we got our Duck, and figured it was time to join and say a Massive Thank You to everyone even though you didnt help me directly, but indirectly, i thank you all for the information.

We have a 12 week old Alysbury Duck, we believe to be female and she is called Dave...now shes called Dave as my girlfriend is stubborn and wont change it lol so Dave the Female duck lol.

Onto the question - Considering Dave is an indoor duck were facing the ever increasing issue of cleaning up every 5 mins and washing our clothes alot lol - We need a duck diaper but my god i cant find anything in the UK at all. Please tell me someone here knows of a place.
Or im pretty handy with a sewing machine, any patterns/plans/diagrams that i can use, will pay for them if need be.

Welcome to BYC. There are a lot of birds (chickens, ducks etc.) with somewhat odd names. Usually birds with girly names morph into BIG, males but the name sticks. My friend has a 5 year old silkie named "Tiffany," he doesn't care. Sometimes it goes the other way like your duck hen , Dave.

BYC does have duck threads at "Other Backyard Poultry," forum and there is also a popular thread called "show us your house ducks." So you'll be in good company.
