Hello from VA

Hi all! My daughter and I are newbies to raising chickens!

We have 10, 2 week old baby chicks that we are raising: Light Brahma, Blue Orpington, Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire Red, two Barred Rock, Welsummer, Easter Egger, and a Golden Laced Wyandotte. I have lurked around here getting ideas on our coop and run designs and obtained a lot of ideas for our setup that I hope to have finished up in 2-3 weeks. I know when they chicks are fully feathered and ready to move-in to their new home, I will be so anxious. My daughter and I have joked about sleeping out there : )

Hello, and welcome! Glad that you joined! Good luck with your flock! If you and your daughter plan on sleeping out there in the coop with the chicken's, you better make sure that you build the coop big enough.
