Hi all! I'm not exactly new ( I lurk here ALL the time) and usually post under my husbands username- joey22748- but thought today I'd make it official and set up my own account! I'm very excited about getting to know all of you and spending copius amounts of time talking chicken ( which I'm sure my husband is excited about too- he thinks I've gone chicken crazy, he's right
). So, we've been raising our backyard flock for almost 3 years now and I've loved every second of it!!! We currently have 11 LF birds (9 hens and 2 roos- yes I know 2 roosters is alot, but one of them is almost 6 yrs old and isn't too concerned with mating anymore.......is that normal by the way), mostly EE's I hatched myself ( well, the broody helped a little). We're also expecting some LF Cochins from McMurray in about 2 weeks
I'm looking forward to posting some pics when I'm able, and bragging about my little flock along with everyone else. Until next time.......
