Hello everyone, I've used this site for years. Every time I have or a friend has a chicken question I come here! You helped me find out which chickens I want in my coop! Now I'm a member! I had a thread on the forum for a sick baby chick it was very helpful and understanding, thank you. My baby, a silkie, is still doing good, I'm syringe feeding her every 4-6 hours. She's perking up and I hope soon to catch her eating and drinking on her own. She just doesn't seem interested. I have a little mini farm, a horse (morgan), a pony, a goat (nigerian dwarf female), 2 dogs, 6 cats, 2 pet rats, a lilac crowned amazon, 3 guinea hens, 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Blue laced Red Wyandotte, 1 Blue Silkie Roo (he's my avatar) 1 Blue Splash Silkie hen, 1 Black Silkie hen, 1 White Silkie hen, 1 Black/Blue Roo, I have 83 1 week old chicks. I only wanted 55 got 34 Red Star Roos for "heating pads" They are Silkies (buff, black, & white), Americana, Austrolorpes, Columbian Wyandottes, Blue Laced Red Wyandotts, My little sick baby is a silkie (she has 5 feathered toes) but has pale skin; I think she was my "free exotic" chick from Murray McMurray. She's very precious and tiny.
