Hello, I am from Virginia and this is my first time raising chickens. I have a supportive aunt who has been in the business for almost 30 years. I have 3 white leghorns, 4 Ameraucanas, and one that was sold as a white leghorn, but has changed so much that I cant be sure what it is. Supposedly, I was given all hens, but I'm not so sure. It's too early to tell for sure, but I am encouraged that nobody has crowed and they are almost 7 weeks old. I photograph and video my babies almost daily. Today, we will be adding three new babies that are black Austrolorps. One is guaranteed to be a roo, as I ordered him specifically. I know to keep them separate until they are all similar size and to introduce them via divided coop. Eventually, I will post pictures, but today is going to be very busy. Bear with me as I get started and thanks in advance for any advice and welcomes.
