Hello from Vermont

Hi everyone. We are relatively new to the chicken raiser world. We were given 5 buff orpington chcks last spring. I love love love them. We are down to 4 now-one got sick last week and was finally put out of her misery last night. We also have a rooster who we love, but is getting a bit grumpy with kids and strangers. Still, he loves me! And he's so gorgeous.
We will have lots of questions over the next few weeks as we go into spring and hope for a few more babies. Good to be on the forum.

My Buff Orp is the very most gentle hen in my flock... she is kind a like my baby.... so to speak.

Sorry for your loss. We are going through the "loss" thing right now with a hatch that didn't happen, so it happens to all of us at some point.
