Hey everyone, Slowly stepping into the world of hobby farming and more as I go down this rabbit hole of fun stuff. I have always wanted to get into homestead stuff but we have never had the land/time for it. While we still don't fully have the land I do have the time so I am taking the first small steps and hope to work towards the land within the next year. I am a small business owner and work out of my home, I have 0.7 of an acre "in town" but on the out skirts so its pretty quiet. We are hoping to get 5-10 acres asap with space to do as we please. We are currently restricted to a max of 8 hens and 2 ducks via town permits. So that is what I got to start with. I would love to add many more to that number later on along with other barn critters as time goes on. For now we have 2 Pekin ducks that are about 3 weeks old, 2 Saphire Gem, 2 black sex link, 2 gold lace and 2 silver lace chickens that are all about 2 weeks old. I had chickens for 3-4 yrs about 8 yrs ago so I am not completely new but I only know the very basics. I would love to learn a lot more as time goes on..
