My wife and I are avid homesteaders on our small 1/3 acre lot here in Virginia Beach. We have bees, garden boxes, fruit trees, compost bins, 220 gallons of rain water barrels, and we think backyard hens should be legal in Virginia Beach. I've joined the forum to learn more about backyard chickens, to see what has worked for others as far as changing the laws in their cities, and to spread the word about 4 Virginia Beach Hens. We are working to get the law changed here in Virginia's largest city.
