Hello from Virginia

Three years ago I was dealing with the infamous "empty nest" syndrome. I had always wanted to have chickens so I got 3 Rhode Island Reds and 3 Ameracaunas (spelling????). Built a small coop and was very happy with my new "children".

It turned out to be an addiction and now I have 25. The small coop has had two additions and my husband says NO MORE. I am very interested in learning "first hand" information - I've read lots of books but there's nothing like hearing about real life experiences. And - my husband doesn't enjoy talking about chickens as much as I do. So I'm looking for an outlet! Looking forward to meeting everyone.

You sound just like me. Hubby not to interested and I love my chicken kids. I have 2 small human kids too. Hubby says no more too. I have over 30 so I think I'm ok.
