My first batch of chicks will be shipped this Monday, April 25 and I am very excited. I have been reading everything I can find and this forum has been a big help. I am supposed to receive a mix of ten hatchery-choice PULLETS. They could be Buff Orphingtons, Rhode Island Reds, Silver Laced Wyandottes, White Plymouth Rocks, Black Australorps, Ameracaunas, or Barred Plymouth Rocks. I will not know one from the other but will love them all equally. I am just hoping for all to arrive alive and healthy but am worried about the distance as they are coming from Texas. I have everything set up and ready for their arrival.
