Hello from Western Colorado

Hey everybody,

I'm a longtime lurker to this great site and decided I should start participating. I love the wealth of information offered here within all of the discussion.

I've currently got 4 laying hens (two buff orpingtons, one supposed silver Wyandotte and a mystery grey bird), a silky rooster, and nine chicks about a month old. We are thinking about expanding to 30-50 birds over the remainder of this year.

We've built 3 coops in the past year, but our chickens free-range over our 7 acres most of the time.

Nice to meet you Adam - Glad you joined us at Backyard chickens. If you would like to check out your state thread - just put the name in the search box. For opinions on your unidentified birds, you can post photos at "what breed or gender is this." It's very helpful if you mention their age.
