Hello everyone name is scott and while not new to chicken ranching its been awhile since i had any.
So since my dad was feeling so happy as to buy the kids 3 each rir and red sex links.
So i had to home them in a tote here in the house till i got a coop built notihing big just homey 3x6 3ft tall 2 ft off the ground 2 nesting boxes which i kept in the garage for 2 weeks yesterday i moved the coop and chicks outside and havent got to build the run yet but have a nice area picked out for them. Lol
I also picked up 6 broilers for some extra bar b queing in a couple weeks.
And also picked up a few bantys cause the wife said they are cute. Lol
So for now everyone is nice and sassy waiting to get together and having a run around the yard.

Just wanted to say hello and may the feathers be with you .

Scott

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sounds like you have discovered chicken math! Good luck with your flocks!

Welcome to BYC, Scott. Glad you decided join our flock. You have some excellent layers. Red Sex Links are hardy, egg laying machines. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds and hybrids), and along with my Black Sex Links, they have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 eggs per hen per year. You should get loads of large, brown eggs from those 3 ladies.) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your RIRs and RSLs.
