Well me, my husband and kids (3 and 5yo) are ready to start raising chickens and ducks. We have been thinking about it for a couple years and we are now ready and excited. I have been researching the how to's and what breeds on this website alot the past couple months. I have decided on getting Coronation Sussex and Buff Orpingtons. My friend is hatching some of her Pekin duck eggs so we will be getting a couple of those too. The birds will free range the yard most of the day since im home during the day. In the fall they can roam around in my fenced in vegetable gardens. I hope to gain a lot more knowledge thru the people here.
