I have been reading this forum for over a year so I decided to join. I have 1 laying Spangled Hamburg. My Barred Rock , Buff orpington, Giant Jersey , generic brown hen, and Guinea fowl were all picked off by coyotes one by one. ( I felt like KFC) We installed an electric poutry fence and that seems to have solved the problem. I bought some day olds which are now pullets. I have a speckled Sussex, a Cuckoo Marans and a Buff Brahma. They all live together with the already mature Hamburg. My husband built a beautiful coop (from a design on this website) with automatic doors on timers that open and close in our absence. I really enjoy the birds ;they are tame and come to me for food and let me hold them. I enjoy the forum and the photos. I'll post some of mine soon. Deb
