(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Growing up on a farm in the Midwest, I had chickens for most of my childhood. We always had one to two dozen and they were all Rhode Island Reds. Now, 20 years later, I am happy to once again have a backyard flock!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently have 11 and hope to add to that number in coming years. I have especially enjoyed expanding my knowledge of breeds and feel fortunate to have such a beautiful mixed flock.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Silver Spangled Hamburgs (4) "The Four Horsemen"
Black Laced Red Wyandottes (3) "Tic, Tac, and Toe"
Blue Andalusian (1) "Silvie"
Buff Brahma (2) "Thelma and Louise"
Light Brahma (1) "Snow White"

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Our family enjoys most outdoor activities. We frequently hike, bike, swim and camp, and enjoy spending time with our pets and gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We love living in New England and the natural beauty of the Northeast. In addition to our feathered family members, we also have one spoiled fluffy black dog, three lap cats with attitude and eight fish.
